Dear Devotees,
At the outset, I will like to extend my congratulations to the outgoing President, Mr Lal Ji Singh, and his committee for achieving a number of key milestones and initiating new activities.

I am highly humbled by your overwhelming support and trusting me with the management of the HTCC affairs for the next year.

I can give you my personal commitment that I and my able team will do our level best in the interest of the HTCC, a noble and largest Hindu organisation

in Canberra. Our focus will always remain to achieve the objectives of the Organisation in a professional and efficient manner.As indicated by a large number of community members at the AGM, our main strategy for the year will be:

Bring the Canberra Hindu community together;
Be more Transparent and Visible in our plans, policies, accomplishments and performance;
Improve Governance to regain confidence of the members;
Expand membership base; and
Raise funds for building the Temple’s next phase (Shantiniketan)

It is vital that we have a good and active dialogue with the community and organisations that are affected by our decisions or the policy advice we give.

Taking time to listen to differing perspectives and to understand what’s actually happening ‘out in the community’ will be an extremely important part of our consultation process.

We will be approaching you regularly to seek your advice and kind support in many ways you will be able to extend and work on this together to leave a lasting legacy.

If you have any suggestions or questions, or would like to help in any particular area, please contact any of our committee members or myself. We look forward to working with you.
