Welcome to the Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre, serving devotional, spiritual, cultural and social needs of people in Canberra.



The Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre (HTCC) is located at 81, Ratcliffe Crescent, Florey Canberra and it is the one of the first temples to be built in Nations Capital. This temple helps to promote and flourish the richness of the Hindu religion, culture, and philosophy.

Deepawali Program

HTCC Executive wishes you all a very Happy Deepawali

Mahalakshmi Puja Sun 27 Oct 6.30pm & Govardhan Puja (Annakoot) Mon 28 Oct 6.30pm. HTCC would like to invite you all for the Maha Laxmi Pooja and Goverdhan & Annkoot,as per below program:

Lakshmi Puja will be celebrated with Ganesh Pooja Sri Yantra Puja Abhishekam & 108 Namarchanam On 27th October on Sunday.Those who have their Sri Yantra can bring it with them. Sri Yantra Sahshrdhara Mahabhishekam & 108 maha Laxmi Namarchanam 6.30- 7:45 pm followed by Aarati and Bhojan Prashadam sponsored by Bharat International.

Annakoot & Govardhana Puja - 28th October 6.30-7.30pm Annakoot will be celebrated by offering 108 dishes to the Lord. Please get in touch with any committee member or Punditji on 0420 264 578 to coordinate the offerings.

Shanti Niketan update

The work is progressing well and on schedule. We have till now spent approximately $320k. The estimated cost around $1M. Various funding option as approved in last AGM are being pursued. All donations are welcome.

Shanti Niketan is a Work Site

The temple premises is now part of Shanti Niketan construction site, so please do take care when you visit the temple and do not enter the construction area. Construction will resume after the regular break.

Please also note that Yoga is continuing in HTCC. Shri Vijay Arora is back from holidays and is taking classes on Saturdays from 08:00am to 09:30am. New beginners are most welcome to take this opportunity of starting yoga and discuss your needs with the Yoga teacher.
